Mafalda Ramos is a Portuguese flautist based in London, UK. At home playing Bach and Rameau, as well as Bossa-Nova, Forró or Samba-Jazz, her repertoire is eclectic, with a special taste for Brazilian Music and Early Music.
Mafalda studied Historical Performance at the Royal College of Music, London (BMus(hons) and MMus), where she was a scholar. She happily embraces music and instruments of different times and origins, playing simple system, traditional and modern flutes, as well as recorders. Mafalda Ramos works regularly with Mario Bakuna, Felippe Oliveira, Charivari Agreable, Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música, amongst other relevant groups and musicians in the UK and Europe. |
